Welcome to my website and thanks for stopping by to get to know me. I hope your enjoying everything you see here as much as I have enjoyed creating it all!
Hi, I’m Kelly!
I believe that it is essential that you “click” with whomever you choose to be your photographer as you are entrusting them to capture some of your most intimate and important memories. On that note, here is a little bit about me…
I am married to a dairy farmer and I have two gorgeous, sometimes very cheeky, twin boys. When I get nervous, I tend to ramble – LOTS! I laugh quite loudly. I am an animal lover. I have quirky idiosyncrasies, including using the same colour pegs when hanging out the washing and the impulsion to have the volume on the TV or radio on even numbers. When I was in high school I wanted to be an actress. One of my favourite places to be is the library. I love “Dr Who”. I enjoy visiting new places and embarking on new adventures. I’m a huge dreamer. I’ve been skydiving. I like to sing, really, really loudly! But that is something that should only happen when I am alone! I can be super clumsy. I love old things: Old buildings, old furniture, old signs, old photographs. I also love the story that comes with these old things and if I don’t know the story behind them, I have some fun with my imagination and conjure up my own story. My favorite quote is “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right!” On a Saturday, if I’m not at a wedding, I love to be with my family and friends doing anything from going to the lake for a swim, having a BBQ or road tripping somewhere new just for the sake of it.
I believe that photography can add so much pleasure to our lives. One photograph can hold so many memories. I love looking at the images from my wedding day, when my boys were born, from my childhood… I have this one photograph of my Nanna. It was a photograph that I took from my very last visit with her. She looks so happy and as beautiful as ever. I feel that this image captured exactly who she was. Now just about every member of my family has a copy of that image and it evokes a very dear memory for each of us. Proof of how powerful a single photograph can be in our lives.
I love my life and I love what I do. It gives me so much pleasure to capture the most wonderful memories for people, to know that they can look back in years to come and relive those cherished moments. I have met some amazing people and have seen some inspiring places. What more could I ask for?
Now it’s your turn! Head on over and “Say Hello!”
